Siren Call

Siren Call

Snowdance hosted its first ever Siren Call event in London on Wednesday 27th March 2013.

We believe music speaks a universal language.

Our aim is to create harmony and bring cultures together through the medium of art.

Many of us who live in London come from different cultural backgrounds, where traditions, customs and languages are very different from the host city, in this instance, London.

Our mission

is to encourage everyone to look beyond the language barrier and appreciate art in its most original form. We don't necessarily need to understand the language to appreciate art. For us art is something you perceive without you making an effort of understanding it.

We need to look for beauty in our multi-ethnicities, look for beauty in our differences.

There could not have been a better place to host this event than in a cosmopolitan city, such as London.

We invited singers from around the world, who reside in London, to sing in their native language. Most of the artists wore their traditional costume.

We had a panel of judges who provided feedback to the performers.

The event was held at the Gem Soho,
